We congratulate our excellent St. Dunstan Track team for earning 5th place out of 16 teams in last Sunday’s Spirit Festival. In so doing, St. Dunstan earned recognition for the most improved team. In addition, our 8th grade boy’s earned third place at their grade level competition and the 7th grade boys earned 1st place in their grade level competition. On Sunday, we had a strong turn out of supporters who stayed the whole day. Truly, it was a wonderful effort displayed by our student-athletes throughout the whole season as they battled the wind and rain as well as practice relocations because of the repair work on the Mills Track. We won each of the preliminary track meets leading up to the divisional championships where we placed in nearly all the events. Please extend your appreciation to our hardworking lead track coaches Gabrielle Rojas-Martinez and Mary Anne Anderegg, as well as to their assistant coaches and parent volunteers. The St. Dunstan Track program continues to excel and as does our athletic program overseen by our Athletic Board. The track awards evening is set for Thursday, June 1 commencing at 6:00pm for pizza and 6:30 for the program.

As we wrap up another full athletic year, we extend our appreciation to Chair Kevin O’Neil and to our Athletic Board members for overseeing our athletic programs. There is extensive behind the seen work to prepare each season as well as organizational efforts to manage and cover expenses. I am grateful for the work of the Athletic Board as well as to our Advisory Board, Room Parents, Men’s Club and Lady Knights for planning and coordinating the many events that took place this school year.

Plans are being made for the next school year. Leadership is needed on both our Advisory Board and Athletic Boards. If you’re interested and would like further information on board openings for next year contact Advisory Board Co-Chair Steve Bosso ( or Una O’Brien (, and Athletic Board Chairperson, Kevin O’Neil (
