Dear Parents and Guardians,
We thank Patricia Rodgers for her 34 years of service to St. Dunstan School, mostly as our kindergarten teacher. Kindergarten builds the foundation from which basic learning skills and self-confidence are planted. Mrs. Rodger’s gracious and joyous approach to learning has influenced generations of students. We are most grateful. A beautiful reception occurred after the kindergarten graduation as we welcomed her family back to St. Dunstan where her daughters graduated. We wish her well as she settles into new adventures and possibilities. Mrs. Rodgers will return as a substitute teacher.
Families are reminded to pick-up any rescue medications kept on campus. We will need a new doctor’s note for 2017-18 school year to dispense Rx and O.T.C. medication.
After introducing Mr. James Spray at morning assembly, I spent the morning with our new principal. Mr. Spray visited classrooms, met faculty and attended the kindergarten graduation. I will work with him to insure a smooth transition into his role as principal. Please give Mr. Spray your support, as I know you will, in the spirit of St. Dunstan.
Thank you for your support during my tenure here. I am grateful for the privilege of partnering with you in Catholic education and in the faith formation of your children. I am grateful to my faculty and staff. They are the backbone of the school. They have built the foundation for our students to flourish in high school and beyond. Lastly, I ask for God’s good blessings for our treasured students and I pray for the very best in the years ahead. Wishing each of you a most pleasant and restful summer break. School resumes Monday, August 28, 2017.
Dr. Bruce Colville, Principal

A Little Mercy
A little mercy makes the world less cold and more just.
We need to understand properly this mercy of God, this merciful Father who is so patient.
–Angelus address, March 17, 2013
Reflection: Reflect on how patient God has been with you. With whom do you need to be patient?
